National Junior Honor Society

By invitation and application only. The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929. Second semester 7th and 8th graders who are in top academic standing (3.8 GPA or higher) and are meeting the above requirements during their time at East may be invited to join the BEMS chapter of National Junior Honor Society. For more information or a list of meeting dates, please contact a co-sponsor of NJHS. Sponsors: Mrs. Haverly & Mrs. Pauley
